Like many people I saw the infomercials for the insanity workout. The before and after pictures were amazing! I decided to order it and then did one workout and gave up. I'm not proud to admit it but the workout was harder than I could have imagined.
Musts vs Shoulds
It sat on the shelf for a while until I was watching a Tony Robbins video where he said you need to change your shoulds into musts. For some reason that just resonated with me and I decided that no matter what I had to complete the 60 day challenge. You can't take the island without burning the boats and if you want to finish something hard you can't give yourself a way out. This change in perspective has helped me to keep up with the insanity workouts and finish my second week tomorrow! :) I still have 6 weeks to go but I have seen so many changes already (5 lbs!) that I wanted to give you a review of the first two weeks on Insanity.
Insanity
Insanity claims to burn up to 1,000 calories a workout. That is a lot. I am not sure how many calories I am burning as I don't have a heart rate monitor but I do know it is the most physically demanding workout I have ever done. When you order Insanity it comes with a workout calendar that tells you which workout to do on which day. The workouts are 45 minutes long and you will work out 6 days a week.
