Green Screen Fun

This week, “How-To” co-producer Eric Wyeth takes you behind-the-scenes to show you How-To use a green screen for special effects. He demonstrates with his soon-to-be released short film, Icarus.
What you will need:

A green back-drop, either homemade or purchased.
Five video lights; two floods (for the screen), one key light (to create highlights on your actor’s face), one fill light (to fill in the dark areas of your actor’s face), and one backlight (to create depth of separation for your actor from the background.
A computer and software capable of video compositing.
Video color-correction software.
Video editing software and/or hardware.
A lot of spare time and patience!
